Here is what typically happens when a consumer requests a free offer or free trial. In order for consumers to get their free offer, they must provide credit card billing information, which is supposedly used just to pay for shipping and handling. At least that what many consumers think. But what the scam artists then do is place consumers, unwittingly in most cases, in auto-shipment programs and then deliver products automatically, usually often monthly, even though the consumer did not actually place a specific order for more products.
Consumers should look for links on any free resveratrol offer websites titled "terms" or "terms and conditions." By following these links, people can see the real terms of the auto-shipment programs which they would be subject to, in exchange for accepting the free product.
Free Offers are really Auto-Ship Schemes
Since most people don't click on every link on a website and don't read every word, most people are unaware they will be receiving monthly shipments of products they did not expect. The products that are part of the free offer schemes are usually extremely expensive and are of questionable quality. It stands to reason that any unscrupulous marketer who promotes these tricky free offers is likely not going to provide a good product.
Auto-Ship Schemes are Hard To Cancel
Additionally, it is usually extremely difficult to cancel these auto-ship programs. Consumers find long holding times on phone calls, disconnected phone lines and hard to find email addresses, and so on.
